From the blog
The 4.10% question: where should your emergency fund live?
Somewhere you can reach in a day, that still earns while it waits. Here is how we think about it.
How is my savings dividend paid?
Dividends compound daily and are paid into your account monthly. The rate on our rates page is the annual percentage yield (APY).
Can I take money out whenever I want?
Yes. High-Yield Savings and Money Market have no withdrawal fees. Certificates pay more because the money stays put until the term ends.
Is there a minimum balance?
No. You can open High-Yield Savings with any amount, and it earns from the first dollar.
Is my savings insured?
Yes. Deposits are federally insured by NCUA up to $250,000 per member.
